Mia is one of UK Study Centre’s most experienced 11+ and Common Entrance tutors. A graduate of both LSE and Central Saint Martins college at University of the Arts London, Mia has tutored pupils all over the world and has a track record of helping her students get into London’s most competitive schools, including St Paul’s Girls School, North London Collegiate School and Westminster.
Mia’s career as a tutor has taken her from Peru — where she worked to improve the reading and writing skills of orphaned children — to Dubai, where she was employed for her experience as an English teacher and her knowledge of the Common Entrance exams. Other engagements have seen her work in Moscow, Hong Kong and Monaco.
As well as preparing pupils for the Common Entrance and 11+, Mia also teaches English to A-Level, and is CELTA-qualified to teach English as a foreign language. Meanwhile her background as an actress also allows her to prepare students for auditions, drama school interviews, and LAMDA exams.
As well as performing and tutoring, Mia also enjoys writing and running a small furniture business.
Mia was professional, gave us lots of homework to do and really seemed to care that A succeeded. We were biting our nails when the results came in but the hard work paid off and we were over the moon to hear that A had got into Francis Holland. We're hugely appreciative of Mia's help, and recommend her unreservedly as a tutor.
